HIP HOP MUSIK:

Hip Hop is a positive and creative culture. If you wanna hear some tight beats, lyrics, and overall good stuff it's a must to check out THE ROOTS' album called ILLADELPH HALFLIFE. There are many headz out there that constitute what REAL HIP HOP is. Some people you might wanna check out are: Aceyalone, Camp Lo, Common, Outkast, Rass Kass, The Nonce, The Roots, Wu-tang, and Xzibit.

JAZZ:

Jazz goes way back...but a couple of the great artists that i like to listen to are Bobby Caldwell and Lonnie Liston Smith. If you are into newer smoothed out jazz there are a couple of albums that i totally recommend. There are few creative people in music today, but two of those who get really creative and are able to play numerous instruments are Maxwell and DeAngelo. I can attest that every song on each of their albums is good. I personally rarely ever listen to a complete album all the way through but, each of these artists are so talented that i can listen to their albums over and over and still marvel them. Here are the names of the albums:
Maxwell: Maxwell's Urban Hang Suite 1996
Maxwell: Embrya 1999
DeAngelo: Brown Sugar 1995

Commercial rap music, often times formulatic, lyrically limp, and definitely mentally toxic, is taking over the airwaves like gangrene and the only way to stop the mortal contagion is to cut it off and head underground
