Spoons

A Brief 'istory of Spoons
an excerpt from an essay by Sebastian Menraff

Spoons 'ave played an important role in us society.  Imagine wot life would be like wivout any spoons. It wouldn't be good at all.  Because blokes wouldn't be able ter eat properly, right, there would be famines evrywhere.  And wars, too.
Spoons say more about a place and time that any uvver souvenir.  In particular, the "Paris" spoon (MenraffCollection Number: 8162) says more about Paris than any novel or paintin' ever could.  It features "Paris" written in stunnin', bold text. And, the bleedin' spoon is topped off by the bleedin' Eiffel Tower.  Wen Sebastian Menraff found this spoon on the bleedin' Champs Elysees, he were entranced by its beauty.  The "Paris" spoon is the bloomin' epitome of the chuffin' city because it 'as the bleedin' Eiffel Tower (or tour Eiffel, right, as the bloomin' French call it) just like Paris does.
