So Why The Name?

I am not actually trying to be pretentious, or say that I am better than any else. One of my favorite bands - Pearl Jam - has a song titled "Jeremy" which has a line "king Jeremy the wicked, ruled his world". There is a story behind the lyrics of the song, which is unrelated to why I used the name. Mainly, I liked the song, and it had my name in it, and I have been using it for a while now.

"King Jeremy Kreations" actually came about when we first started brewing beer. I wanted to come up with a personalized label or cap to use on our beer, and started with the first attempts at a logo, a K with a crown. The current incarnation was the best of a few creations in Adobe Illustrator. I decided Kreations with a K looked more visually symmetrical. I think it works well, not everyone agrees with me.

Lyrics
at home and drawing pictures of mountain tops, with him on top
lemon yellow sun, arms raised in a v
and the dead lay in pools of maroon below
daddy didn't give attention to the fact that mommy didn't care
king jeremy the wicked, ruled his world
jeremy spoke in class today
jeremy spoke in class today
clearly i remember pickin' on the boy
seemed a harmless little fuck but we unleashed a lion
gnashed his teeth and bit the recess lady's breast
how could i forget?
and he hit me with a surprise left
my jaw left hurtin', dropped wide open
just like the day, like the day i heard
daddy didn't give affection, no
and the boy was something that mommy wouldn't wear
king jeremy the wicked, ruled his world
jeremy spoke in class today
jeremy spoke in class today
jeremy spoke in class today
try to forget this...try to forget this...
try to erase this...try to erase this...
from the blackboard...
jeremy spoke in class today
jeremy spoke in class today
jeremy spoke in, spoke in
jeremy spoke in, spoke in
jeremy spoke in class today...
(spoke in, spoke in...)

The Story/The Video
The song lyrics are based on an article in The Dallas Morning News about a 16 year old student, Jeremy Wade Delle, who committed suicide in front of his second-period English class. The video for the song depicts a similar scenario. You can read the article at Five Horizons, a very good Pearl Jam fan site.

The Painting
The Pearl Jam video features a very interesting painting of a wolf in it. If you have seen the video you probably remember it. I have as yet been unable to find out who the artist is, or if it is available to purchase anywhere. If you have any information on this please let me know.
