Me (a little bit, anyway)

I started this page when I attended Harvard University where I studied Literature. I then moved to New York. And now I'm embarking on a new adventure: law school at Georgetown.

Some Role Models Growing Up

My friend Christopher is extremely talented [she plugs subtly].

Ever since I heard some kids perform "Paul Revere" when I was in first grade, the Beastie Boys have been a big part of my life.

I think my college years can be defined by chyck bands (or at least bands fronted by females).

and Mazzy Star

to name a few (a very few). Some others include Portishead, Veruca Salt, Dance Hall Crashers, Poe, The Eurythmics, Ani di Franco, The Pretenders, Joan Baez, The Mamas and the Papas (thanks to Mama Cass I'm classifying this as chyck-heavy instead of "other").

In high school I was really into the punk, ska, goth, and other scenes (not necessarily together as they seem to like to be grouped today). I don't really know what's going on with any of these scenes these days. But here are some remnants of my yesterdays: The Specials. Joy Division. Sisters of Mercy. Lagwagon. The Mr. T. Experience. Sex Pistols. Dead Milkmen. Dead Can Dance. Toots and the Maytals. Violent Femmes. Reverend Horton Heat. Velvet Underground. The Cure.

And a timeless favorite of mine, ol' blue eyes.

Alright, so I love Kevin Smith. I can't help it.
