I grew up in Hamilton, Massachusetts and Maitland, Florida, and graduated in May 1999 from
the University of Florida with
a degree in English and a minor in French. My senior
honors thesis focused on the science of invisibility in H.G. Wells' The Invisible Man to
combine my interest in British literature with my future career in optometry.
At UF, I
was very active in InterVarsity Christian
Fellowship.
I
recommend this Christian student group to everyone!
I’m in a
pretty musical family—my mom sings, one brother plays the violin, another plays
the oboe, and I’ve played the piano since I was 4, as well as the violin since
I was 13.
In the
summer of 1998, I went to Europe with my three best friends--Jahna, Becky, and Jill. I'm very
proud of my Europe
web site that documents this trip, so please visit it if you can!
Now I am
a student at the New England College of Optometry (NEWENCO), a 4-year graduate program in
Boston, MA to become an eye doctor. I have created a web site for pre-optometry
students or for the merely curious about what's involved.
We have
just started a brand new chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists at
NEWENCO, part of FCO
International.
