Rush Hour in theaters NOW and grossing 84.1 million dollars!!!
First of all, let's clear something up about Jackie Chan. Yes he
sounds a little silly when he tries to speak english, yes he is really
only a stuntman, yes his movies have no plot, but no, his movies are not
stupid, as some of the more ignorant people of the world would like to
believe. Jackie Chan's form of physical comedy surpasses the ridiculous
and childish antics of Jim Carrey. There's nothing better than seeing one
man beat the living crap out of an entire army all by himself. Those
people who say to themselves, "hey wait a second, this is so unrealistic,
no one could ever do that!" are also the ones who think Steven Seagal
is a really good actor.
First of all, Jackie's movies are not supposed to be deep, or meaningful.
Only a simple plot is needed to let Jackie do his thing.
If you've never seen one of his movies, go see one.
You'll hear people whooping and hollering as they try to mimic Jackie's
movements,
but of course they can't. It's not just senseless violence, there's also
a lot of humor involved. Like when Jackie is about to punch some guy in the face,
he'll stop and wink at the camera or something, just to show he's
having a good time. It's everyones fantasy to be able to walk around and
kick the crud out of anyone they see. When you put the whole thing
in perspective, it is everyone's fantasy to be Jackie Chan.
So who else likes Jackie Chan you ask? Jackie Chan is an
