	Information About Ourselves

Every year, the National Forensics League establishes the topics to be debated by high school teams at their tournaments, which will be held at high school and colleges throughout the academic year.

Our debate team participates in three styles of debate: Policy Debate (partners arguing a change in American Policy), Lincoln-Douglas Debate (individuals arguing today's moral questions), and Student Congress (Parliamentary Style Debate between mock senators of the U.S. Congress). Additionally, the debate team participates in Extemporaneous Speaking, which chooses one side of a current issue and makes a final decision as to the disposition of the event.

We are based out of Midlothian High School in Midlothian, Virginia. To refresh a geography lesson, Midlothian is located within 10 miles of Richmond. Thanks in part to us and the superb leadership of Coach Levy, we are the Dominion District Champions and the reigning state champions in the VCFL, the Virginia Catholic Forensics League.
