This web page is designed to assist MSU Business Students in finding an intership, or possibly a full time job after graduation.  While Marketing majors may benefit the most from this page, it can be a resourceful tool for anyone who decides to use it.
 
When students think of an internship, they usually see themselves behind a desk, filing, copying, faxing, and ordering the bosses' lunch. Well those days are over.  How would you like to travel around the country meeting hundreds of thousands of people, going to all the best sporting and concert events, and getting paid to do it?  When I first heard of the field of promotion marketing, I knew it was for me, and if having fun while putting some cold, hard cash in your wallet sounds enticing, it could be good for you also.
COMPANIES

Below you will find some companies that are among the leaders in the promotion marketing field.  Take a look at their web pages, and see if they interest you.  Below the companies you will find a resume writing site where you can fine tune your resume, and get it ready to send out to the companies of your choice.

This is the company I currently work for.  We were recently acquired by SFX Entertainment, broadening our base of venues and clients even further than it was before.  We do a lot of promotional events around the country, and the marketing arm of our company, Contemporary Marketing Incorporated, located in Totowa, NJ, handles promotions for many Fortune 500 companies such as Reebok, Nestle, Coca-Cola, A-1, Playboy, and Nascar.

GMR Marketing is a company similar to Contemporary.  They handle promotional tours for companies like Pennzoil, Sony Playstation, and Panasonic.  Many of their tours are national, as well as local or regional.  This is a great and fun company to work for, and their is a section on their web page about job opportunities.

Dugan Valva Contess is a highly recognized promotion marketing firm with many lucrative clients.  Some of these clients include Nabisco, Lufthansa, National Basketball Association, Perdue, Marriot, etc.  This company is difficult to get into, but sending a resume is the first step.

Schramm is a bigtime agency located in New York City.  Their client list is extensive, and includes some major money makers.   Schramm negotiates sponsorships for sports, pay-per-view, and entertainment events in the US and Latin America.  Schramm develops consumer-marketing promotions among targeted markets, especially Hispanics, sports fans, and children.  Schramm partners advertisers and programmers together for strategic marketing.  Schramm negotiates and markets talent relationships with national advertisers.
