How do I sign up for a homepage?

Applying for a homepage on GeoCities is a snap. The site is divided into different neighborhoods or "communities". Each one deals with a different topic. My page is in CollegePark...a community for and about college related topics. If you are wanting to create a family or pet oriented page, you will want to build in Heartland. I believe there are 40-something neighborhoods out there now. Each neighborhood also has a number of suburbs. New suburbs are created as the old areas fill up. If there are no pages available in the neighborhood you want, wait a few days and something will probably become available.
