The Count It All Joy trilogy is the inspirational coming-of-age tale of Quentin "Peach" Rice, Josephine "Cherie" Petion, and their family and friends. As the narration alternates between the protagonists and selected supporting characters, glimpses are offered of the lives of the often pampered, somewhat confused existence of middle and upper class urban black youth and young adults. Although , each of the three novels is unique in the fact that it has a Christian moral and at the end, Biblical truths are always affirmed.
Count It All Joy’s focus is joy in the middle of trying circumstances.
