(1) Gerard, Count of Auvergne, born 795, died June 25th, 841. Married Hildegarde (daughter of Louis I of France and Ermengarde) and had son Ramnulf. (2) Ramnulf, Count of Poitou, born 820, died July 5th, 866. Son of Gerard and Hildegarde. Married the daughter of Count Rorgo of Maine, and had son Ramnulf. (3) Ramnulf II, Count of Poitou, born 855, died August 5th, 890. Son of Ramnulf and an unknown woman. Married Irmgard and had son Ebalus. (4) Ebalus Manzer, "the Bastard", Count of Poitou, Duke of Aquitaine. Born about 870-890. Died 934. Son of Ramnulf and Irmgard. Married Emiliane (supposedly the daughter of King AEthelred II of England) and had son William. I am unsure if his parents actually married or not; Brian Tompsett's Royal Database says they did, but 'bastard' was a term denoting illegitimacy. (5) William Towhead, Count of Poitou, born 915. Died April 3rd, 960. Son of Ebalus and Emiliane. Married Adele of Normandy and had daughter Adelaide. (6) Adelaide de Poitou, born 945, died 1004. Daughter of William and Adele. Married Hugh Capet, King of France.
