BELLINGHAM LINE 2

(1) Sir Henry Bellingham, born 1428 in Kendal, Westmoreland, England. Son of Robert Bellingham and Elizabeth Tunstall. Married Agnes Katherine Laybourne (born 1430 in Cunswick, Coneyswicke, England; father was Sir Robert Laybourne) and had son Roger and daughter Isabel. (2) Sir Roger Bellingham, born 1450, died 1541. Son of Henry and Agnes. Married Mabel Middleton (born 1436 in Middleton, Hall, Westmoreland) and had son Robert. At the Bellingham Chapel of the Kendal Parish Church lay Roger and his wife's graves; the brasses are not original, having been restored in 1863. The story goes that Cromwell's soldiers took the orginal early sixteenth century brasses. (3) Sir Robert Bellingham, born 1480. Son of Roger and Mabel. Married Anne Pickering, born 1482. Robert and Anne had daughter Dorothy. (4) Dorothy Bellingham, born 1508. Daughter of Robert and Anne. Married Antony Ducket.
