Showron (or Shoaran or Li)comes from a long long line of magicians, they're family tradition is to study magic for their whole life, also he is a direct descendent of Clow Reed, the creator of the clow cards. He trained for since he was a little child and is also a descendant who have passed on powers, he has greater magical skills than Sakura when they first meet (even at the end I still think Li is better). He's my kinda guy. He possess a lasin board which he uses for readings and for locating clow cards. While he was fortune telling he found out that the Clow Cards have escaped and were being chased by a girl in Japan, that's when he left his family in Hong Kong to go search for the Clow Cards In Japan.

On the first day when Li met Sakura it really freaked Sakura out. Li didn't give Kero a great first impression when he showed up helping to capture the thunder card, Li said that Sakura is hopeless(I love that word) and that makes Kero think Li is saying the gaurdian beast of the clow book would choose the wrong person for the job. He kept saying that Sakura is clueless when it comes to card captoring and he even called Kero a stuff animal, Li even mocked Kero's size, obviously Kero doesn't like that and bites Li on his finger. Kero refuses to called Li by his name after that, and addresses him as "the kid" so Li always giving Sakura advice before Kero can, so Kero looks like he has no clue, Kero really doesn't like that. The fued will go on forever.

The first day at school Li threatend to fight Sakura, he told her to hand over the clow cards she has, he believes that her abilities were unworthy for the clow cards. Then Tory (Touya), Sakura's brother saw Li hurting Sakura and he almost got a fight with Li until Julian(Yukito) jumped over the fence and offered everyone a bun to eat(or some kind of food) even Li, Li started blushing and ran away as fast as he could in a funny way, he has a strange attraction for Yukito (Julian)(Awwww....So Cute). That was a bad first impression of Li for Tory (touya). Because of that Tory and Li often give each other frowns or looks that say "I don't like you". Julian's (Yukito's) attraction to Li and Sakura cause jealousy, Syaoran does not wish to socialize with Sakura but he slowly learns to like her, partially because of Yukito's constant affection towards her and because being near Sakura lets him be near Yukito.

Later you find out that Li has a engaged cousin, Meilin who has no magical powers, but has good fighting skills because she used to train with Li when they were little. She arrives at Japan one day to help Li capture clow cards, which cause more trouble for Li than he already has. Meilin is jealous of Sakura because she can capture clow cards, Meilin think Sakura is trying to steal Li away from her, every chance she gets she trys to pick a fight with Sakura, which causes Li to have many problems. Li-Kun loves Meilin, but not the way Meilin wants it to be, Li cares for her and always looking out for her, he helps her get along with her classmates. Li probably doesn't have that special feeling for Meilin because she is too over protective.

Li likes Sakura more than he shows it, you can tell by when he captures a card he usually lets Sakura have it or something. And when Sakura kisses him on the cheek when Li used the Time card to Save Sakura from the Return card his face turned red. Also he helps her capture cards instead of capturing for himself.

One more thing, He's not gay. He's just attracted to the moon, which Julian is the moon, Li is attracted to Julian's power not his loks. He is also like that because he respects him because he is kind and nice.

For all of Syaoran's talents, he is a very very gullible boy. When Zachery (Yamasaki)makes up a story Li believes them so easily. Makes him cute.
