ELVIS
Before, Blue Suede Shoes
He, wanted to rock you from Heartbreak Hotel
During the end of the fifties,
Came the GI Blues and Aint Nothin But a Hound Dog
to Jailhouse Rock.
Albeit, between Blue Hawaii
And Doing it My Way
He went from Priscilla and Love Me Tender
to Crying in The Chapel
Although for those who love him
He was Best in the Sixties for his movie music
parades that were never recorded, like, Daddy Big Boots, and Scratch My Back.
Then along came Dont Cry Daddy and his serenades to the ladies along with
his charities. To them he was a Teddy Bear
As the years went on he crooned and rocked the world creating his own forms
of the blues, rock and roll along with gospel sound.
Today he is still doing it his way even though he is gone.

ELVIS PRESLEY
There was a man known as the King.
of a music called Rock and Roll
But traveling down a stressed road
Slowly took its toll.
His death occured many years ago
And his memory lingers on
In the music he did make
And fans can carry on
The road he took brought him fame
with loyal fans galore
Elvis Presley was his name
A part of American lore.

OH ELVIS
In the fifties you had a dream
It was very far out it seemed
Hard to believe it all came true
but for me was very hard on you
you started out doing it your way
the younger set loved your swing and sway
the older set couldn't hear you sing
they were to shocked by your swing
as time went on they heard you
for they learned your heart was true
you were classed with the great
that put you behind Graceland gates
you will be remembered as the best
so sleep well Elvis you deserve the rest.
