Side A-    Homosexuals are capable of  being cured by following certain religious precepts.  This would seem to imply that all homosexuality is environmentally induced.....thus reversable with the proper change in environment.

    Side B-    It is impossible for a homosexual to change regardless of any change or desire for change on their part.  This implies that all homosexuality is hereditary and thus irreversable.

    I would like to douse BOTH sides with the cooling waters of commonsense....they are both right and wrong.  As much as both sides do not want to accept this fact there are a number of factors which might lead a person to their sexuality.  Heredity, or rather biology, is obviously the 'normal' and most common decisive factor, but even this in heterosexuals has great variables.  Environment is the second leading factor....but this has a much wider definition than most think of, usually considering that it means only the home and family.  Environment can entail the need for survival.....prison, the need for acceptance....peer pressure, the lessening of social mores....curiosity and a state of sexual boredom which such openings make permissable.

    Thus a person can find themselves as a non-heterosexual having followed a variety of roads leading there, some from birth, others by guidence or personal choice.  If this is the case....and I personally believe it is, then yes a person could changed what they originally choose, BUT, not everyone falls into that catagory and therfore not everyone can be 'cured'.  So why can't each side just accept and acknowledge this.

    The answer to my question is that we have come to be a society that sees only in black and white.  To see in shades of grey let alone colors is deemed a weakness.  To consider compromise a sign of softness.  Not only must you dislike your opponent you have to hate them.  The groups we join insist upon this point....no quarter can be given.  Republicans must hate Democrats and Democrats must hate Republicans,  whites are called upon to hate blacks and blacks to hate whites, women are told to hate men and men to hate women, kids have to hate adults and adults have to hate the kids.  What ever group, organization, or society we belong to either volunterily or involunterily we are ordered to hate our opposites.

    So saddly we set, afraid to speak civilly to each other for fear those in our clique will not understand.  We set divided, no common ground permitted for if we did meet on even the smallest grain of mutual understanding we might find a second then a third and soon those that lead the charge of hatred might find no blind followers to hear the shrill cries of bigotry, bias, and fear.  And that dertainly wouldn't sell commercials.

    No black, no white, but many grays.

    Again the nation wails and wears sack cloth as we pour ashes upon our heads.  Look at our poor heroes, villenously killed defending the outposts of democracy.  Look at them as the regal guards of honor bear them solemnly from the planes.   We moan and beat our chests as our leaders speak piously of the departed.  Bow our heads as the caskets are ceremoniously placed within the hearses which gracefully move in silence from the scene.  The leaders stand eliquiently heads bowed, a hint of tears.  They have spoken softly with the families and loudly to the world boldly ascertaining that the dasterdly criminals who have caused these deaths will be found where ever they might be, even if we must follow them to the ends of the earth we will avenge the fallen heros.  We wipe at the moist corners of our eyes and bravely salute......

    Now let's cut to reality.   As, if we can believe the movie, George Patton once said "No bastard ever won a war by dying for his country, he won it by making the other poor dumb bastard die for his."  Truer words were never spoken.  First we have to admit THIS IS A WAR.  A war not against nations but against ideologistic organizations who have every intent of killing every American that they can set their sights on.  That means you!  And before the Europeans get too smug they better think about who will be next in line.  Secondly we must understand the deeper meaning of the general's statement..... in war you must take the battle to the enemy..... you can not hide in your hole and permit him to control the action.  We search through the ruble to find out how big the bomb was and how it was delivered.  Why do we do this?  So we can build bigger bomb proof buildings and buy fancy gadgets to stop the truck.  And what do the terrorists do?  They build bigger bombs and figure out fancier ways of getting them on target!  No matter how big or how sophisticated the hole the maggots will find a way into it, under it, around it or over it.  Before World War II the French government spent millions building the most sophisticated fortifications the world had ever seen, the Maginot Line.  No one was ever going to invade France again.  Except the Germans,  who did it in a few days by going around and over the dinosaur.

    We will spend millions making bigger walls, more sophisticated detectors, and thicker windows.  The terrorists will spend a little time, maybe a few bucks on bribes.  Kidnap the right persons' kid, convince some fool to fly a plane and.......The President met the caskets.......Wake up.....we know who planned it, the media just interviewed him not long ago.  We probably know where he is......buy a few bullets and finish him.....Will we do this?  No, we might offend the people who's guest he is.  So what!  The man wants to kill ALL of us.....this is war...."No bastard ever won a war....."
 

    Wake up!

1. It's his private life.....Has anyone noticed that the idiots in Iraq act up everytime something breaks in this case.  A great many of our allies will not back us any longer because Saddam shouts that Clinton wants a war to get our minds off of his sexual escapades!  Thanks to the fact that Bill Clinton can't keep his pants up Dictatorial bullies and mad men can threaten the peace of the world at will.

2. It's not our business.....Who pays the United States Ambassador to the United Nations?  We do....seemingly he was out trying to find Lewinski a job on YOUR time.  He lied to the American people.  He sat and symbolicly looked you in the eyes through a TV camera and LIED to you, why?  He thinks you are a stupid idiot who can be lied to and manipulated at will by HIM and his cronies.  Sadly he might be right on that point.

3. The economy is good.....And just what has Bill Clinton done to help the economy?  Nothing.  Jerry Seinfeld had a TV show about nothing, Clinton has a Presidency about nothing.  At least Sienfeld was funny.....THINK.....what has Bill Clinton done?  The polls show that the people think he is doing a good job.....DOING WHAT!  He has done nothing but campaign since he won election six years ago.....that is ALL he knows how to do.  Since his teens he has devoted his entire life to becoming President.  He accomplished his goal and had nothing further planned so he keeps on campaigning hoping no one will notice.  He has done nothing while in office!  He has no plans so all he can do is react to the situations that occure around him and his administration.  Luckily he speaks eloquently at funerals.

 4. It's not important.....Just ask Linda Tripp.  Remember her, the lady who stuck her neck out about ten miles.  The lady who Clinton's rabble branded a liar.  The Lady who Clinton's lap dogs leaked private personnel files about.  The lady who was slandered by Clinton's thugs.  It's not important.....thank God Lewinski wasn't a spy!  It's not important.....we have a President who is so immature he can't realize the jeapordy his actions placed not only himself in but the very ability of his administration to function in the capacity it is supposed to also!  It's not important.....we are the laughing stock of the world and more importantly other world leaders know that the man who is the leader of our nation is a man without honor, a liar even to his own people, supporters and friends.

5. And finally.....it's the Republicans.....The Republicans didn't lie to the people of this land Bill.  The Republicans didn't use every sleazy legal trick to drag this out for months.  The Republicans didn't slander innocent people who where brave enough to come forward in truth to defend their country's honor.  The Republicans didn't lie to their supporters.  The Republicans didn't lie to honorable men of their own party and let them appear as fools and puppets.  The Republicans didn't abuse their power and prestige as you did.
 

    A lie is committed not only in uttering a falsehood but also in the ommission of uttering the truth and in the willful misrepresentation of that truth!

    Bill Clinton wants to play at war without getting his hands dirty, you can't do that and gain your objective.  By using missiles to shoot people he thinks he can wage war and avoid the ensuing risks, political for him personal for those who have to carryout his orders (we know what he thinks of them so he must be worried about his risks).  One of the officers who taught me while I was in the ROTC often made a statement to the effect that to win the war you have to put a 'grunt' on the hill.  His point was not solely that the Infantry are the primary arm of the military but also that you better know what you're doing and it better be worth it because some poor soldier was going to have to take the chance of dying to gain your objective.

    Military history abounds with examples of heavy bombardments, either by cataupalt, cannon, or bomber that failed to accomplish their intended goal.....the siege of countless castles, the battle of Fredricksburg, Monte Cassino, and the bombing of the Ho Chi Minh Trail to name but just a few of American note.  To truly and totally accomplish any military action you must put a man on the spot, preferably with more than a flag.  A real leader knows that his risk is one of morality and character (sound familier).  Is his cause morally just and worth the loss of the brave men on that hill, does he have the character to accept the responsibility for the out come of his decision to send them to that hill.  These are the risks that a leader must be willing to take.

    On some occassions a missile strike may be called for but normally only in conjunction with other actions that in combination with the missile assualt accomplish the desired goal.  So let us examine the objective that we are told was the goal of these attacks.  I have heard several variations, one, that we knew of a plan to use chemicals from one of the sites in an upcoming terrorist attack.  The second that a meeting of terrorists leaders was taking place at one of the sites.  If these were the objectives how were we to know for certain that a missile, as 'smart' as it might be, had accomplished its task?  Yes a satelite could get you a picture of a blown up building and the area around it.....but can even the most sophisticated satelite tell you if all of the chemicals were destroyed?  Can it assure you with absolute certainty that at no time had any of the chemical left the site.  As we are now hearing the missile may not have even hit the right target.  What about its human target?   Obviously neither the missile or the satelite could garrantee the death of the terrorist leader since very shortly after the attack he gave phone interviews to the international media of his choice.

    To be a leader you must lead, you must take the risks a leader takes.  If Clinton's real objective was the elimination of a terrorist threat he should have, one, made certain his intelligence was accurate, two, made certain that an attack would accomplish a worthwhile goal, three, made certain that an accomplishable plan could be put into effect, and four, put elements in place to accomplish the assigned mission.  If..... that was his objective.  What has he accomplished?  One, he has kicked over a hornets nest without killing the hornets, two, he has antagonized those allies we had who might have been willing to aid in killing the hornets, and three, he has increased the resolve and morale of the terrorist by giving their cause the warped legitimacy that their kind love, they have been attacked by the Great Bully (not satan) and the whole world knows it.  The world that failed to raise much of a cry against the terrorist killing of innocent people.....but let America retaliate...let America call for its own version of a Jihad....and see what they say.

    Maybe Bill you should have tried to become a leader before trying to be President....they might still let you join the ROTC.

First I would like to apologize for disappearing for several weeks. I could claim that it was because of a left wing Democrat conspiracy, and there even is a break-in involved, but unlike some people I don't turn to conspiracy theories for unusual events that occur or to hide my own failings (of which of course I have none). No what happened is very more mundane.....some hackers broke into my servers files searching for something and general creating great havoc. Thankfully the people on guard at the server crashed the system before the hackers could get into any sensitive files and thus everything had to be restored from scratch. Aren't hackers just so lovable. Hmmm, come to think of it, maybe it was......

Now to the serious stuff.....let me explain the polls....that is how our wonderful media elite make sure we stupid idiots of the masses (which they profess to be so concerned about) know what and how we should properly think. It works very simply, as much as Americans claim to love our individuality most of us are terrified of being seen as different. We are careful to wear the same styles, watch the same shows, drive the right car, live in the right neighborhood, etc, etc., etc. Do you think the politicians haven't noticed? So when they want us to think a certain way what do they do? They tell you what "the majority" of people think, over and over again, and being the sheep we are we run down to the local sheep pen and baa, baa, baa right along with the line we have been told to think.

And what do the pollsters tell us now? Everyone loves Bill, no one wants to see him leave (the next guy might not be as sexy! or play the sax on MTV), it's all a big conspiracy.

While we're discussing the polls and the media I'd like to ask this question, why do these people assume that you're too stupid to understand the polls? They have to explain them, condescendingly of course, as if we are a bunch of little children to stupid to understand what the big people are saying and doing. Some one gives a press conference or makes a speech and what do the anchors do..... they immediately tell us what the adults are saying to us..... I guess they use little words we idiots can understand. Sadly maybe we have fallen to such a point of illiteracy in this land. I for one still resent it. Thank you media elite but to paraphrase a great American 'I know not what course others may take, but as for me, I'll think for myself'.

Join me America, think for yourself! Use the brains and independence we're suppose to have. If you have to be a sheep at least grow horns.....and butt the heck out of that sheep dog when he tries to herd you to the slaughter house!
