The rear bumper on the Road Champs cars have an indention where the license plate would be mounted.
The original issued cars had a blank license plate, no number. Later, Road Champs began to print the year of issue in the license plate area.
There are collectors that want one of each car. Some collectors want car for each license plate year.
One needs to be careful when buying cars that are not in the original package and have no license plate number. It is very easy to remove the year in the license plate area. Unless you know who you are dealing with, I would recommend only buying "blank" plate cars in the package.
