U.S. TERRITORY OF WYOMING

In 1868, after the first large groups of white colonists had settled in the area, the southern parts of the U.S. Territory of Montana - expanded with some minor parts taken from Idaho and Utah - were organized as the new U.S. Territory of Wyoming. ____________________________________________________________________________
