SUBANG P97 - CAMPAIGN HITS THE DOWNTRODDEN

PSM campaign after focusing on low and middle class residents in the last month has finally hit the downtrodden of Subang.

The campaign went to meet people at Kampung Saujana, Kampung Rasak, Ladang Bukit Jelutong, Ladang Damansara and several other remote small kampungs. In most of these areas, issues have been no basic amenities, no proper roads, land dispute and others.

The campaign in August is more focused on house to house campaign while leafleting at Pasar Malam and other public areas continues. Besides that negotiation with other opposition party members at local areas seem to be fruitful and fulfilling. The party has also opened a new election office at USJ 9/5E (near MTUC) which will be fully operational from Monday (9-8-1999) onwards.

The responds from the people seem to be very encouraging. People are showing quite an interest in the logo of the party, which is a clenched white fist surrounded by red.
