This section has turned out to have a bit of "wildlife" theme. This
is "Bird Rock" at Cape St. Mary's Ecological Bird Preserve. The cliffs
here are home to over 30,000 nesting pairs of gannets, cormorants, murres,
kittiwakes, razorbills, and guillemots. The reserve is by far dominated
by the gannets. Although not the most plentiful bird, it is the largest
and most beautiful of the birds in the reserve, and occupies the prime
nesting areas.
