Proud Supplier Of Quality Glass Containers To The food And Beverage Industry
On 3-19-00 I attended a meeting concerning a settlement for members of the G.M.P. union working at Anchor Glass in 1996 when a bankruptcy court judge ruled against the union concerning payment of wages that had been defered at our 1996 contract negociations. The International Union continued to fight for our members and it finally paid off. Letters should reach all concerned parties within the next 60 days with the details of the settlement. Please check Local 180's bulletin board for the details of  settlement known at this time.
International President James Rankin deserves much thanks for his commitment to the G.M.P. members involved in this settlement. Also Carl Yaller who recently passed away should be in our thoughts. Carl played a major role in reaching this settlement.

As of 10-27-00 all present and previous employees entitled to receive a settlement should have recieved their check by now. Several checks have not been cashed yet. Please cash them ASAP the deadline is near.

If anyone feels they should have recieved a check and didn't contact :
Mark S. Stickel in Tampa at 813-636-8702

A lot of work has gone into locating all those who where intiled to a settlement and I want to make sure everyone gets thiers !!!!
