The Joy of Reading
On the subject of books, I thought I'd take some time to list some of the books I've read over the last couple of months...
- "The Rough Guide to the Internet and the World Wide Web" by A.J.Kennedy.
Small, compact and a wealth of knowledge, this book is helping me to create this web-site!
- "Vacumn Diagrams" by Stephen Baxter
A collection of short stories...all related to the XeeLee Sequence...Influenced my decision to read this author's collection.
- "Spanky" by Christopher Fowler
Despite its name this has nothing to do with S/M. More than a Faustian Pact story...well worth a read.
- "War and Peace> by Leo Tolstoy
Tolsoy's best known piece...it's big...it's about a war...I will probably finish it in my retirement...!
- "Virtual History" ed.Niall Ferguson
It's crap really...never knew why I spent £10 on it...What a load of Tory tosh...it even has Andrew Roberts, an Historian I despise, writing for it...Nuf said...
- "Spares" by Michael Marshall Smith
A future history, where identical twins are bred for their body parts...very blade-runner, in it's description of the future, very dark, some very good snippets of very black humour. Highly recommended.
