Subject: Southern Hillbilly

Dear Representative King,

I read your comments (It's a Southern, anti-union attitude that appeals to the mentality of hillbillies at revival meetings...) and I must say I was thoroughly disappointed to learn that you were a Republican. In fact, as a Republican, I urge you to switch to the Democratic Party, where your ignorance will be welcomed. Your comments are a prime example of why we (The South) should not allow our concerns to be governed a foreign body. Why would we want someone like you to have influence over legislation that would affect us?

Apparently, not all New Yorkers have the same disgust towards those of us below the Mason-Dixon line. New Yorkers are leaving by the droves for Virginia, North Carolina, and Florida, where they can experience a drop in crime, lower taxes, higher standard of living, and less government control over their everyday lives. Another reason, I may presume, is to get away from you!
