Here is the Theory of Creation, abridged version. About 6000 years ago, God created the earth, dry land and sea, the Sun, Moon, and Stars. God created plant life on the earth, grass, herbs, and trees. God created, in adult form, all manner of life in the waters, fowl in the air, cattle and beast on the ground. Then, God created in adult form mankind. You can read it for yourself in Genesis, Chapter 1. The climate of the entire earth was tropical, about 70 degrees years round, day and night. When the Bible says "Garden of Eden", it's not kidding! This climate was possible because the amount of water in the atmosphere was many times the amount we have now. Rain never fell to the earth until about 1500 years later, when God sent a Great Flood. Rain fell for 40 days and 40 nights, and destroyed all animal and human life on the earth. Water covers about 2/3rd of the earth's surface, but before the flood, water would have covered only a small percentage of the land. The vast amount of water that fell drowned and covered all manner of animals and plants under tons of soil, the fossils of which can still be found today. The only human survivors were Noah, his wife, his 3 sons and their wives, who were saved by building a huge ark. He brought animals of every species on his ark to repopulate the earth after the water subsided.
Age of the Earth: The Theory of Creation holds that the earth is about 6000 years old, while the Theory of Evolution teaches that the earth is between 8 and 20 BILLION years old. Of course, that figure is due to increase soon, as evolution theorists have constantly revised their figure upwards. The last increase was in 1994, when the estimate was tripled! Allow me to point out some scientific evidence that supports Creation moreso than Evolution:
1) Robert Gentry's experiments with radioisotopes proved that the polonium haloes in granite rock had to have solidified in under three and a half minutes (Polonium218's half-life is 3.5 minutes). Gentry's tests nailed the formation of granite rock to an instantaneous creation!
2) Dr. Donald Chittick has shown that uranium releases helium as it turns to lead, and the amount of helium in the atmosphere today could have been reached in about 10,000 years.
3) The earth behaves like a giant magnet, creating a magnetic field around it. The strength of this magnetic field is decaying. At the rate it is decaying, 8000 years ago the earth's magnetic strength would equal that of a magnetic star (an unlikely occurence), so this shows the earth is young. If the magnetic field is caused by circulating currents in the earth's core, then the heat generated by the stronger current only 20,000 years ago would have dissolved the earth.
4) The recession of the moon from the earth provides simple proof that both are young. At the present speed rate of recession, if the earth were billions (or even millions) or years old, the moon should be much farther away from the earth than it is. Also, the rotation of the earth is gradually slowing down due to gravitational drag forced of the sun and moon (and other factors). If the earth were billions of years old, rotation should be zero. Furthermore, the centrifugal force would have been so great billions of years ago that the continents would have been sent to the equatorial region and the overall shape of the earth would be a pancake!
5) Thousands to millions of tons of meteoric dust settles to earth each year, yet large deposits do not support the evolutionary theory of the earth's age. The amount of nickel being added to the oceans by the rate from meteoric material indicates the length of time to be several thousand years, not several billion years. The centimeter of dust on the moon suggests a young age for it, as well.
Fossil Record: You may be interested to know that fossilized remains support the Theory of Creation and the story of the Great Flood, not the Theory of Evolution!
1) The climate before the Flood was warm and humid, so trees would have not have had growth rings. The fossil remains of woody plants supports this.
2) Dinosaurs are assigned an ancient time frame, before the emergence of man, yet their fossilized footprints occur together, and their pictures were drawn on cave and canyon walls .
3) Remains of Wooly Mammoths have been found buried under ice in the artic region with tropical grass in their stomach. This shows that the artics had a tropical climate at one time, and it shows that animals were living in the artic region just before a great catastrophe changed the climate of the earth.
4) When animals or trees die, they don't become fossilized. They decay and dissolve away. The fossils we find today would have been created by being buried under a tremendous weight of soil being washed over them during a great catastrophe, such as the Flood.
