Submit photocopies of requirements for processing including the result of macro - etching examination. Pay the P20.00 for each requested purpose. Get official receipt and claim stub for your application. Come back at the stated time and date indicated therein.
Motor Vehicle Clearance will be issued to applicants provided their MV's are: (a) not in the wanted list; and (b) its engine/ chasis or both are not tampered. Motor vehicles that fall under the two categories will be impounded and its processor upon due process, will be taken into custody, investigated and subsequently be made to face trial in court.
A motor vehicle is in the wanted list when it is reported to the authorities as stolen/ carnapped and an alarm has been issued. The alarm is disseminated to all units of the PNP in the country. A copy of the alarm is retained at the Traffic Management Group (TMG) and entered into the computer of MCVU and Regional Traffic Management Offices nationwide. The alarm is only lifted upon receipt of report that the wanted MV has been recovered and returned to its rightful owner.
Clearance system is effected prior to registration of motor vehicles in order to reduce, if not totally eradicate carnapping incidents. This measure deters the would - be buyers of stolen motor vehicles from taking advantage of its low prices. Likewise, it will make documentation of wanted motor vehicles very difficult, thus, reducing its negotiability and market.
