There is a lot of information concerning Federal Benefits for Veterns and Dependents available, but you probably should verify these thru a "Service Office".

Search for former comrades by name, rank, serial number, hometown, duty stations, even medals awarded by going to the American Veterans.

Search U.S. Army studies and documents that are well-indexed and easy to search by going to U.S. Army Center of Military History.

There is a database for reunions and finding comrades located at VETS National Archives.

An impressive array of services and assistance for Veitnam veterns is located at Veterans of the Veitnam War, Inc.

The WWII U.S. Veterns Website is dedicated to keeping WWII veterans in contact and the memory of WWII alive.

The Vet.Com also is a comprehensive source of veteran-related information including benefits, news and reunions. It also has great links to other veterans pages.



Department of California VFW

You can access the Official California Department Home Page. It is presently under extensive construction so be patient and sign on often to keep up on the added information.

National VFW

Additional information about the VFW and it's programs can be found on the Official National VFW Home Page. It also contains benefit information and the latest news concerning bills before congress and the VFW's views and efforts.


American Legion Post 552

The VFW Post 5985 shares it's facility with The American Legion Post 552, who pay their share of the operating expenses of the building and lounge. More information may be obtained from the commander of the Post. The American legion headquarters also has lots of information available on its home page including membership requirements which differ from that of the VFW.
