In our School System, it use to be appropriate to respect all teachers and staff members. Some of us still show respect. In the past, when a student respected his or her teachers, such an student would have received respect back in return. However, this is not the situation today in my school. Since Christianity are removed from school, teachers does not trust students anymore and treat students like garbage and like criminals. I was raised as a Christian and also taught to respect my teachers. Unfortunately, most of my Teachers and the School Nurses, believe only in one-way conversations. We are not allowed to think or to state our views during an argument. The School Nurses has absolutely no respect to any student accept for maybe their few favorites. The words “it doesn’t matter” seems to be used frequently in the Nurses Offices since they do not want to hear your opinion. Students are not allowed a chance to state their opinion.
Recently, in the class of my 2nd Grade Sister, the teacher prohibited my sister to give her friend a Christmas Card with a prayer written in it. The same teacher crushed a paper cross gift, my sister have given her and warned her not to talk any religion in school. In the same school, the children are not allowed to pray before eating their lunch and if they dare to pray, the Cafeteria lady will interrupt them and shout ” If you want to pray, go to church. Do not pray here!”
A nation who does not understand why their government has provided individual freedoms is easy prey for any organized effort to take away those freedoms. The Bible told us that man is inherently evil. Too many people today simply assume that because America has historically been free, we will continue to remain free.
