The 800 pound gorilla is an organization committed to publicizing the truth about the War on Drugs – leading to its end.  Those who “disagree” with our goals [known as drug war advocates or DWAs] will never face us in a public forum and will never speak directly on this issue.  All organizations, candidates, and public officials who fail to address this issue – like the sponsors of this initiative – should be considered DWA’s.   They are people of very low moral character and integrity and they are hiding from the truth.  After all: how much character and integrity can you possibly have if you deliberately support a policy which does nothing but hurt people.  Their support for this policy fully negates any benefit gained by their initiative – which should be rejected until a more complete solution is reached.

Every DWA fully supports a policy in which many sellers of dangerous and abusable drugs are unlicensed.  These sellers not only sell their product to minor children, they employ them for sales and delivery. They make obscene untaxable profits shared liberally with cooperative government officials and Johnny Cochran caliber legal help – who keep them out of legal trouble[ prison]. Their profits are made possible because their customers commit the lion’s share of crimes against the rest of us.

DWAs want to put these criminals/customers in prison – after they’ve committed their crimes, and at taxpayer expense.  They want to imprison those customers who don’t commit crimes and make it easier to imprison anyone who can’t afford Johnny Cochran caliber legal help – or who live in those areas targeted by the drug war, which happen to be the same kinds of neighborhoods targeted by the KKK 40 years ago.  Except for the “reformers”, who want to put these socially responsible users into mandatory treatment - also at taxpayer expense. They wish also to make it easier for government to invade citizens’ private lives and “inconvenience” their lives. Their stated goal is a “drug free” America – except for alcohol, tobacco and pharmaceuticals whose products cause 98% of fatalities and 95% of problems among all drug users; those companies bankroll their political campaigns indirectly through “party building” soft money making it nearly impossible for honest candidates to win election.

Of course, DWAs lack the honesty and integrity to face  gorillas in a public forum over this issue.  They don’t want voters to know what they stand for [see John 3:20 for further description] –  and they don’t have to,  because the truth will never be seen or heard in any commercial media outlet.  Instead all DWAs – including media outlets - exclusively use known abuser tactics to avoid discussion of this issue. These tactics include:

1] Hiding from the truth – usually in the form of “it’s not open for discussion and I’m not going to offend anyone in power by confronting them with the truth.”

2] Change the subject – if the drug war ever becomes a major issue for voters there won’t be any place to hide and there will be no candidates openly supportive of this evil policy – as there are no current supporters of the KKK political agenda.

3] Pose false choices – the only real choice is whether we continue or discontinue an abusive policy; the War on Drugs is no more a viable solution to “drug behavior problems” than child abuse is for child behavior problems.  Ending an abusive policy will not give free reign to anyone who endangers others while using any substance.

4] Use of misleading short term statistics based on false premises which deliberately mislead voters about effectiveness and necessity of the drug war. Overall drug abuse has increased and use of “street drugs” has increased over 1000% since the beginning of this vile policy.
