JT Barrie is the only public safety candidate in district 34 - and likely the only one in any candidate forums he attends. He is advocating drug legalization, the only proven solution for reduction of crime, violence and drug abuse. It would easily reduce crime by over a third. The only people who will dispute this are either:
1] very stupid
2] lying to the voters > they think voters are really stupid
While no one from the two major crime parties will likely insult your intelligence, they advocate business as usual. This means many sellers of recreational drugs are unlicensed, selling their products to children [hiring children if possible to sell/deliver their product to other children], making obscene untaxed profits [shared with cooperative government officials or Johnny Cochran types who keep uncooperative officials at bay] made possible because many of their customers commit crimes against the rest of us. Of course, they want to jail these criminals - at your expense, after they've committed crimes against you - and make it easier to jail others such as noncriminal customers and innocent people who can't afford Johnny Cochran type legal help.
What's a hundred thousand innocent people in jail if you're going after a "drug free america"? Except of course, alcohol, tobacco, and pharmaceuticals whose companies bankroll their campaigns - at least indirectly through party building activities. That's why I'm running: to give voters in the my district a choice: a proven solution which reduces crime or business as usual which fosters more crime and costs almost everybody dearly. 1
