Self proclaimed taxpayer advocate Bill Sizemore has finally decided to run for governor. My bet is that it won't be on a smaller government agenda. Thus far in his political activism he has totally failed to oppose even one small iota of the Republican big government agenda for Oregon. In the past Sizemore apologists have been able to say [not too convincingly, I might add] that he wanted to confine his message to tax relief [which never stopped him from teacher "union" bashing along with trashing the public school system - the bane of all anti intellectuals like the Christian Coalition which like little whores have sold out to big business interests]. Now he has to come out of the closet and actually either oppose major - and popular, thanks to media hysteria and irresponsibility - parts of the expansive and expensive conservative big government agenda. I will also give 25-1 odds that the biased media will totally fail to point out his blatant hypocrisy and expose him for the phony that he is.
This year there are several petitions that would partially to totally legalize marijuana, a drug that is far less dangerous than tobacco or alcohol. This would reduce the level of violence and more importantly - at least for true advocates of smaller government which Sizemore is definitely not- it would save taxpayers plenty of money in incarceration and prison construction costs. Not only will Bill's endorsement not be forthcoming on these smaller government measures, but his signature as well. I see little difference between this "taxpayer advocate" and unabashed big government advocate Lane Shetterly.
