I am JT Barrie, the only local public safety advocate, seeking office in the Benton and Polk county regions. I am running against the War on Drugs and the problems that it has created. The War on Drugs is, by far, the largest destroyer of communities in this nation. It increases the levels of crime, violence, drug abuse, and both public and private corruption. But that's not the worst part. Although there will be no candidates on your November ballot who will even attempt to defend this stupidity... no local candidates will dare to agree with me. Do you know why? It's because they don't want to face the multimillion dollar taxpayer financed propaganda machine spewing out poison into our communities!
Whenever you have a war, you have to have enemies, and the War on Drugs is no different. This list has grown over the years, thanks to the efforts of business, civic, and political leaders - all with impressive lists of "accomplishments" - which I lack; people who have basically made careers out of not solving problems. Instead they find enemies and figure out ways to reform, punish, or otherwise make their lives miserable. These enemies include - but are not limited too, since the list is growing - criminals, drug users, gun owners, public schools, youth gangs, the gay/lesbian political agenda, minorities, liberal judges, drug dealers, gun dealers, educational establishment, corrupt government officials, minority neighborhoods, country club prisons, corrupt foreign governments, gun manufacturers, teachers' unions, criminal suspects, children and criminal suspects' property. When you have "solutions" like property forfeiture, criminal background checks and mandatory drug testing, everybody becomes a potential "enemy". This is crazy! I don't want my children to face this kind of future.
First, you have to end the poison. To do that you have to end the War on Drugs. There's only one way to end the War on Drugs: LEGALIZE ALL DRUGS! Nobody from the crime party will even offer an alternative, because honestly - they don't have a clue! Then you convert OLCC stores into recreational drug stores - to drive the drug black market out of business and restore accountability for those who sell or prescribe abusable drugs. You create a recreational drug category - to make it harder to repeat the same mistake....for a third time! Then you rebuild communities, bringing back those hurt by the vile war. This is to be done not by government or even civic groups, but by the people in those groups; people in the community with compassion and caring - there are a lot of those people out there too. These people include not only criminals, drug users, drug dealers, and even crime victims - along with those innocently incarcerated, but those whose minds and hearts have been poisoned by drug war propaganda: those whose "solutions" include bringing back concentration camps and turning loose the Gestapo ["they'll only hurt the bad guys....really, they will"].
You don't solve problems by making other peoples' lives miserable. All you do is create a corrupt system, that doesn't work... That makes peoples' lives miserable. Only an idiot...Or a crime party candidate, would even attempt to fill a bathtub with a big hole in the bottom. You just use up a lot of water... And it never get's filled. I've seen a lot of problems listed on my candidates' questionnaires that scream out for solutions. As long as there is a War on Drugs, however, they won't get solved. I am the only candidate who will try to fill that hole - and then only use enough government, if any, to solve the problem. If you agree with this approach to solving problems - then I'm your only choice this November.
I am the ONLY local candidate who advocates a drug policy in which all sellers of abusable drugs are licensed, screen out minor children, pay taxes on reasonable profits, and whose customers won't be committing crimes against the community. Every other candidate is advocating a policy in which some sellers are unlicensed. They not only sell to children but hire children to sell and/or deliver their product to other children. They make obscene untaxed profits - shared with cooperative government officials and expensive legal help to keep them out of jail. These profits are made possible because many of their customers commit crimes against the rest of us. They want to put the criminals in jail - at taxpayer expense, after they've committed their crimes. Then they want to make it easier to jail anyone else including customers who don't commit crimes and innocent people. They want to make it easier for the government to invade your private lives and make your lives "less convenient". If you don't like financing more prisons, with high crime rates along with easy accessibility to abusable drugs for children and value your private lives... Then JT Barrie is truly your only choice this November. 1
