FUTURESAVER OF THE WEEK ENDING 2-14-98

Susan McDougal has spent 18 months in jail because she refused to lie for Kenneth Starr and for personal freedom. This is startling evidence of the clear and present danger facing America. We are losing all sense of justice because of the abuse of power by power-hungry judges/prosecutors like Ken Starr. Susan is America's best-known political prisoner. If America is to become truly free and truly just, it will be because Susan McDougal and others have the courage and stamina to endure the rigors of false imprisonment at the hands of unjust authoritarian judges/prosecutors like Ken Starr. Too often in America justice is reversed: Good people are put in jail by bad people or good people are assassinated by bad people and the truth is smothered by greed. For having the courage to endure false imprisonment to protect and enhance the truth and justice that still endures (imperfectly) in America, Susan McDougal has been named Futuresaver of the Week.
