FUTURESAVER OF THE WEEK ENDING 1-31-98

Okianer Christian Dark was the keynote speaker for the 98 Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday Celebration here in Eugene, Oregon. She is Assistant United States Attorney in the US Attorney's Office in Portland. She has a distinguished background from Upsala College, Rutgers University, the University of Richmond, Willamette University and the Virginia State Bar. She has received numerous honors and awards and is active in numerous legal, civil rights and other organizations. She writes and speaks on race, gender, class, sexual orientation, stereotypes, diversity and other topics. For having a splendid vision of the future, for writing and speaking in an outstanding and engaging manner and for being very active in making the future brighter and more just for all of us, Okianer Christian Dark has been named Futuresaver of the Week.
