Ann Kirkpatrick is the Democrat who will replace the Republican US Congressman Rick Renzi as Congresswoman for Arizona's 1st Congressional district. Renzi resigned after being indicted on 35 counts of Federal Corruption. Kirkpatrick ran against an extreme right wing Republican woman. Kirkpatrick is for getting the economy moving by lowering the price of basic necessities, making health care more affordable and investing in critical infrastructure and renewable energy sources. She supports permanent tax cuts for 86 million middle and lower class working families. In the long run she favors investing in renewable energy sources and their necessary workers. She wants our children to be in good schools with inspiring teachers who can prepare them to compete well in a global economy. She wants to make the promise of No Child Left Behind become a solid reality. She wants to extend quality health care to all by making it affordable with lower prices and better coverage for all. She wants to end the war in Iraq as soon as possible to create a better society there and a better society here. She wants comprehensive reform of our immigration system to make it fairer to all parties concerned. She was endorsed by Napolitano, Gabrielle Giffords, Harry Mitchell, Arizona Educational Association and many others.
