Dina Titus is the Democrat who will replace the Republican U.S. Congressman Jon Porter as Congresswoman for Nevada's 3rd distict. She dedicated her entire professional life to education and public service at the University of Nevada and as a Represenative in the Nevada Legislature and as Democratic Minority Leader in the legislature. She is for the best interests of children, seniors and the disabled. She sponsored legislation covering uninsured children and cosponsered a bill which decreased the cost of prescription drugs. She fought identity theft and crimes against the disabled. She is for renewable energy increase by utilities and for other measures to improve the environment. She is for affordable housing for the disabled. She has published numerous nonfiction books and articles. She has expertise in atomic power and presented an academic paper at a conference in Tokyo. She is a professor in the Political Science Department at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She is for tax breaks for the middle class, renewable energy projects, an end to Congressional gridlock, health care coverage for all, a good affordable Education for all, a stronger Medicare, a solid Social Security, and an end to global warfare and an end to greed at the highest levels of business and government so that we can look forward to a decent and viable future.
