Jim Slattery is a Democrat trying to replace the current Republican U.S. Senator Pat Roberts of Kansas. Jim is for withdrawing from Iraq responsibly and for building stability in the region by fighting terrorism without the massive casualties which create massive resistance and massive failures. He wants to reduce the price of gas and diesel by freeing ourselves from reliance on foreign oil by developing wind energy and other alternatives. He wants to reduce our carbon footprint to protect our environment from global warming and other pollutions. He wants to rectify our health care crisis by making health care available to everyone at an affordable price. He wants to stabilize the economy by ending the reckless Bush Administration's spend and borrow policies which suck money away from the middle class and allow the upper class to con the rest of us. Tax breaks should be for those who need them not for those who abuse them. He wants to create new 21st century jobs by increasing the education level for those who cannot afford high-priced tuition and fees and for those who want to improve anti-pollution technologies. He wants to improve the ability of small businesses to create new jobs by investing in support programs and eliminating their burden of double taxation. A better society will have a better economy.
