Jim Martin is a Democrat trying to replace the Republican U.S. Senator Saxby Chambliss of Georgia. He is for lower taxes on middle class Americans, better consumer protection laws to protect decent folks from indecent credit card scams, greedy insurance companies, banks and oil companies. He wants economic incentives to encourage research and better job creation which will stimulate the economy. He wants to rein in the federal budget by putting an end to corporate welfare. He wants to correct the failed Iraq policy which causes more damage than it generates help so that more money will be available to help America. He wants a disengagement of force and bombing by Americans So that Iraq can create the force structure needed to maintain peace and justice in a country of various ethnic groups and so that our troops can be used for the sole objective of reducing global terrorism in alliance with other nations that face terrorist threats. He wants better treatment and rehabilitation of troops damaged by terrorists. He wants health care provided for evey American, fully accessable and fully affordable starting with every child without exception. He wants an American workforce fully educated so that they can successfully accomplish every future task needed to provide the energy and structures that the future will require to create decency and peace for all of us.
