Larry Cox is the Executive Director of Amnesty International USA. Amnesty International USA is the largest USA human rights group by membership. He served 11 years as Senior Program Officer for the Ford Foundation's Human Rights unit before heading Amnesty USA. He joined Amnesty USA 30 years ago as its first press officer then became its first Communications Director then Deputy Secretary General at Amnesty International's London headquarters. He served as a delegate on many international missions. In 1990 he became Executive Director of the Rainforest Foundation. In 1995 he went to the Ford Foundation to strenghthen human rights in many nations. He now points out many USA violations of human rights caused by the top USA leadership which has taken on itself the way of death and torture used by many previous pseudocivilizations. These inhumane practices must be stopped else the USA will sink into worldwide condemnation as an uncivilized brute of a nation. Those who assert that the USA is above international law are only proving their international criminal guilt. Speaking truth to power is the current need of the hour if human civilization is to survive the scourge of international criminality created by leaders who have lost their way from the path of freedom and decency and survival. We need protection of economic, social and cultural rights here in the USA and worldwide.
