Mary Landrieu is the Senior United States Senator from Louisiana and a Democrat. She is working on legislation to improve adoption and foster care. She knows that the Bush administration promised debt reduction and instead gave us a huge debt increase. She wants to reduce health care and prescription costs. She fights for civil rights and equal rights and equal opportunity for all. She works for full voting rights for all. She helped the U.S. Senate apologize for the first time for past failure to enact federal anti-lynching legislation. She is in favor of clear goals and benchmarks for withdrawal from Iraq. She supports bringing our troups home and ending the war in Iraq as soon as practical and feasable and safe.
