Tim Mahoney is the new Democratic Congressman for the 16th district of Florida. He is in favor of comprehensive immigration reform for community safety along with screened cargo containers, safe airports and first responders. He wants transportation alternatives for better/safer commutes and travel. He wants better educational opportunities for young people and better care for veterans and their families. He wants safer and better environments with less pollution for generations to come. He wants every American to have access to quality health care and more research for a healthier future with less expensive and less toxic drugs. He voted against the Protect America Act which actually helps to destroy our constitutional rights by spying illegally on all Americans and putting those in jail who refuse to help them commit their spy crimes. He voted against the amendment which would have allowed religions to discriminate against people of other faiths. He voted for legislation to make drinking water safer and less toxic. He voted for an increase in the minimum wage. He voted to end the barbaric "sport" called cockfighting. He voted to reduce pollution from ships. He voted to return ownership of White House records to the people of the USA. He voted to allow shareholders to vote to approve or disapprove executive pay packages. He voted to make it easier to access government documents through the Freedom of Information Act.
