Nick Lampson is the Democratic Congressman for the 22nd district of Texas. He works to protect children from abduction and exploitation. He works to enhance our space program (NASA's Johnson Space Center is in his district). As a former teacher he works to improve national education through decreasing tuition costs and other means. As Chairman of the House Committee on Science and Technology's Subcommittee on Energy and the Environment he pushes alternate fuels and sources of energy including better energy efficiency standards. He works to protect the interests of small businesses including affordable employee health insurance. He is working for full coverage of health care and other rights and privileges that veterans should have. He is totally against privitization of Social Security so that full benefits can be paid regardless of stock market or other financial troubles including foreign debt. Corporate pension benefits also need to be protected. He works to preserve homeland security in our ports, refineries, cities, borders and other possible attack points. He works to improve transportation infrastructure especially expanded light rail transport which will ease highway congestion and airport congestion. He works to improve the agricultural outlook and Medicare and health care for all.
