Paul Hodes is the new Democratic Congressman for the 2nd district of New Hampshire. He wants to make sure that every child has access to a quality free education. He wants to properly fund government by ending pork, by ending borrow-and-spend and by restoring fiscal discipline. He wants to leave Iraq with a comprehensive exit strategy. We must do the 9/11 Commission reforms. We must have an adequate minimum wage tied to inflation. He wants to restore all of our civil liberties and stop domestic spying and protect a woman's right to choose and have compassionate end-of-life decision making. He proposes new thinking to restore and maintain the environment by developing new and sustainable sources of energy so we can reduce addiction to petroleum flowing from the Middle East. We need to successfully reduce global warming. We need to end our health care crisis by making universal access to health insurance and healthcare and needed drugs. We need health care improvement for all of our veterans for all of their lives including mental health. Hodes voted to pass the Energy Independence Initiative and created an amendment to match local investments in clean energy.
