Baron Hill is the Democratic Congressman for the 9th district of Indiana. He wants to correct the serious flaws in the No Child Left Behind Act. He helped reduce interest rates on student loans. He wants to end our dependency on foreign oil with more renewable energy use and other means. He wants to end ethics violations in the Congress. He believes quality affordable health care should become available to every American. He wants to reform the immigration system. He wants to end the abominable Iraq war. He wants to make broadband internet access available to all Americans at a price that all Americans can afford. He wants to reform the system of benefits for Veterans. He helped introduce a bill to increase gas mileage for future cars and trucks and reduce their air pollution. He knows that Cheney/Bush are not changing their Iraq policies so the people and Congress need to get rid of the Bushies or ignore the Bushies so that reason and survival can prevail. He has respect for the constitutional basis of American government, unlike the Bushies. He voted to increase the minimum wage. He voted to discourage cockfighting. He voted to reduce pollution from ships. He voted for paper-trail elections. He voted that White House papers belong to the people.
