Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick is the Democratic Congresswoman for the 13th district of Michigan. She favors a responsible re-deployment of forces from Iraq so we can minimize casualties there and maximize the chance of creating a democracy there through diplomacy distributed among the United Nations, the nations surrounding Iraq, the officials of Iraq and the officials of the USA. Bombing, invasion and occupation of Iraq is the biggest and most deadly mistake of the Bush administration. She fully backs only Constitutional means of solving our problems. Whenever a member of the federal government engages in illegal or unconstitutional actions that member should face the full wrath of Constitutional justice including impeachment proceedings where appropriate. She believes that hate crimes should be fully and honestly dealt with as proposed by H.R. 1592. She believes that the citizens of Washington, D.C. should be given the same voting rights as all other USA citizens. She believes all contractors in Iraq should be completely accountable for their profits and their activities. She believes the nonvoting Congressional "Delegates" should have voting rights in Congress. She believes the Secure Fence Act is an irresponsible "solution" to immigration problems.
