Darlene Hooley is the Democratic Congresswoman for the 5th district of Oregon. She belongs to the House Energy and Commerce Committee, the House Budget Committee and the House Science and Technology Committee. She helps create jobs, advance technology, advance agriculture, protect troops, improve medical technology, improve health care, advance education, fight meth and other harmful drugs, advance homeland security, provide safer playgrounds, authored recycling laws, reformed welfare, rewrote land-use laws and wrote and passed equal pay laws. She created the Advanced Methamphetamine Treatment Grants Assistance Act which is the culmination of extensive partnerships of business leaders, law enforcement, mental health experts and local regional officials. If Congress gets its act together we can whip the Meth epidemic. She also callled for an investigation of Dick Cheney, a congressional task very much overdue. This has to do with a fishing problem Cheney created but would open the door to his many other defective/criminal actions. She is also very much into increasing energy efficiency, conservation and energy independence, a task even more overdue.
