In an era of schlock, ambulance-chasing, corporate-bloodsucking, human-parasite lawyers, Morris Dees, Jr. is a shining example of how brave, magnificent and progressive a lawyer can be. He is co-founder, chief trial counsel and chair of the executive committee of the Southern Poverty Law Center. The Center smites racist, fascistic, violence-addicted fossil groups with the full fury of the best and most righteous laws. The Center has bankrupted and otherwise disrupted United Klans of America, White Aryan Resistance, unauthorized militias and other ignorant and bigoted groups.
