Lois Capps is the Democratic Congresswoman for the 23rd district of California. She has co-sponsered The HEART for Women Act which addresses the cardiovascular diseases which are the #1 killer of American women. The act will save more women's lives. She voted against Iraq war funding without timelines to end the war. The time is long overdue to correct the war mistakes of the Bush Administration. We need to support peace-making instead of warmongering. She has taken the correct and moral position of opposing the war from its beginning since the war is based on lies and greed. She believes we should end the Bush war against the poor and lower middle class by government working for all of us not just for the richest of us. We need a stronger, safer nation for all by having fair laws for all and budget discipline at the top. Iraqis, not Americans, should be running and controlling the new Iraq so that peace and prosperity can be built instead of being destroyed by deadly bombs from all sides. If we bring the troops home and build a strong, safe infrastructure here the terrorist threat will be greatly diminished here and worldwide.
