Betty Sutton is the new Democratic Congresswoman for the 13th district of Ohio. She wants to end the corrupt pay-to-play culture of the Bush administration and other corrupt Republicans. She wants to invest in the education and well-being of our workers. She wants to end the guaranteed corruption of no-bid contracts. She wants to end the big tax breaks for oil companies and other greedy corporations. She wants to end tax cheating using bogus offshore accounts and loopholes. She wants to invest in the job-creating activities of the future including education and skill enhancements. She knows that we need new clean energies and more fuel efficiency. She knows that we need to invest in stem cell research, polymer research and other creative improvements. She knows that we should help small businesses to grow their skills and contributions to the American workers and our economy. She knows the minimum wage should be increased and indexed to inflation and that overtime pay should be protected. She knows that the health care system needs great improvement and that college needs to be affordable for all families. She knows that we should make broadband access available to everyone. She is introducing the Protect Consumers Act which will give the Food and Drug Administration mandatory recall authority to help protect us and our pets from harmful food additives.
