Mazie Hirono is the new Democratic Congresswoman for the 2nd District of Hawaii. She has always been against the Iraq war for she knows that the Bush administration misled the country and has no plan for ending the Iraq war. She knows that the only decent, rational and realistic solution to the current ghastly Iraq situation is transition to full Iraqi sovereigntyand thus create peace in Iraq by ending the occupation. She knows that an outstanding education for everyone is the key to a decent and full life for everyone. The cost of education now is way too high and must be reduced. She knows that we need to change course on the environment for the Bush administration is moving us toward disaster: we need Kyoto and other international agreements. We need fuel-efficient cars and fuel-efficient houses and alternative energy sources for every device possible. We need full civil rights for every human being with no exemptions whatsoever for any activity, class or race so we can finally achieve democracy for everyone without exception. If it doesn't cover everyone it isn't a real democracy, it's just fake posturing. We must have a decent income that provides for a decent living for every individual and family. We must have proper health care for everyone. We must minimize poverty and crime by maximizing opportunity for everyone.
