Michael Arcuri is the new Democratic Congressman for the 24th district of New York. He wants to bring USA troops home from Iraq in 2007 by establishing a definite timetable for withdrawal. He wants Congress to ask tough questions about Iraq and hold the Bush administration accountable for all that has happened in Iraq. He wants Congress to root out corruption and incompetance wherever it occurs in our national government. He wants to fully fund health care for all our veterans. He wants to lower the federal debt of about $8 trillion (caused mostly by the "conservative" Bushies) by restoring the pay-as-you-go rule in Congress, largely by ending corporate welfare, tax breaks for giant corporations, earmarking of local boondoggles and non-existant ethics. He wants campaign finance reform to make the electoral process fairer and less expensive. He wants the text of all bills to be published before they are voted on. He wants to make sure all "emergency" spending is truly for emergencies. He wants to reform USA health care to make it less corrupt, less dangerous and more affordable. We are paying more money for health care than other advanced industrial countries but dying sooner indicating that corruption in health care is dangerously widespread in most aspects of USA health care.
