FUTURESAVER OF THE WEEK ENDING 4-5-97

Noam Chomsky knows that wars and other corporate-statist atrocities are caused by greed, fundamentalist state-patriotism, fundamentalist religion, fundamentalist ethnicity, overpopulation and a corrupt environment. Many humans are all too willing to sacrifice themselves for a cause that has not been subjected to common-sense evaluation and scientific test. Whenever a group, any group thinks it is OK to oppress, enslave and/or kill members of another group (or even themselves), it is clear that at least some group members suffer a brainwashed departure from common-sense reality. For each nation or other group there is at least one easy test to determine if a member is brainwashed. For Americans in the 90s, the easy test is: Do you think the American invasion of Vietnam was justified? If an American citizen answers yes, then yes, the person is brainwashed. Because Noam Chomsky can exercise great common-sense and scientific acumen to translate official manipulative crap into some semblance of reality, he is the third FUTURESAVER OF THE WEEK.
